After reading the Nine Elements of Digital Citizenship I fully intend to discuss these with not only my students, but my boys as well. It is a great way for them to all understand the many layers of digital usage, especially the Digital Protection. I am truly afraid for the young people of the world because so much of their lives revolve around the usage of technology. The concerns about protection are paramount in my mind. It is far to easy for someone to find them on the internet or for someone to assume their identity on the internet.
Another area of concern is digital etiquette. It seems as if the rules of etiquette get thrown out the window when it comes to the digital world. Students especially don't seem to follow them when it comes to being interacting. It is like people feel one they can say or do whatever they want on the internet without repercussions.
