What user rights do you feel should be part of the norms in this digital world? What user responsibilities do you feel should be expressed in this digital world?
Rights:
1. Users have the right to express their opinion, unless that expression is encouraging hate, harm or danger to another user
2. Users have the right to be protected from harm in the real world by actions taken in the digital world.
3. Digital Citizens have the right to read content in their field of interest, with the understanding that they may read things they don't like or agree with, and have the right to leave the digital environment without repercussions. in other words, if you don't like what someone else is posting, then don't read it.
4. Users should attempt to adapt their language to the audience they're likely to reach. In other words, professional posts should attempt to be written in the best form of the native language of the writer. Casual posts or personal posts may have a more informal register, and this informality doesn't necessarily reflect poorly on the writer, since the professional reader, read it on a personal post. In other words, if you post something of a personal nature, or your writing style is appropriate for a casual audience, than a professional judgement cannot be made.
