Everyone should have the right to express their opinion, regardless of whether the opinion is popular. Comment should not be silenced because it is not politically correct. However, in a civil society, we should be able to expect that these opinions be expressed without explicit profanity, use of foul sexual language or inappropriate epithets. I realize that is a lot to ask today. Discussion is crucial to exchange of ideas and understanding. I believe that was said to be the original goal of the Internet - exchange of information and ideas. Unfortunately the cat got out of the bag far too quickly and putting it back will be difficult if not impossible.
