Users in the digital world should have the expectation that they will be treated with kindness, that they have the right to be safe, that they have the right to express themselves, and that they have the right to access information according to their needs and curiosity. These rights are perhaps more difficult to achieve in the digital world, given the possibility for anonymity and the naivety of many users.
The responsibilities of users in the digital world are just as vital. Users should expect to maintain the same, if not better, etiquette online. Users should respect one another’s expression and intellectual property.
