As a high school teacher, I have had to "coach" kids frequently regarding appropriateness of social media. I have had several conversations with them about tone in texts and emails. (It is difficult to determine when not face to face sarcasm, excitement, indifference, upset, etc...) I have also had several conversations about appropriate pictures posted. Reminders that respected adults have lost jobs due to posts from years prior: high school and college days.
