In regards to digital access and digital communications, I feel that everyone should be granted access. However, I also feel that with this right comes responsibility and ownership for their actions. The only way that students will learn what is acceptable online is if it is taught in school and reinforced at home. I think educators need to teach the basics (depending on grade level) and continually look for opportunities to reinforce what was taught (examples through news and social media are good ones to look at). Continually keeping expectations and reminders of etiquette as a high priority is a necessity.
