We has teachers need to bring digital citizenship and responsibility up every time we ask our students to go on-line as part of class project or research. When we open that door we need to remember that not all of our students have the same skills.
Just as not every parent takes an active part or interest in their child's homework others do not take an interest in what their child is doing on-line at home. This sends the wrong message to their child. Some kids think what they say and do on-line is "their right" with out any thought has to how this might harm another or themselves in the future.
