DC internet safety

Cindy Juhl
I took a closer look at the settings in Facebook.  Students need to be aware of who can view their page and their posts.  Profile pictures are not regulated the same as posts.  It is possible to block someone entirely from your page and not allow them to contact you at all.  This is especially necessary in instances of bullying internet predators.  The main thing I would stress to students is to always think twice before posting anything at all - comments or pictures - online.  If there is any doubt, don't post.  What you post online does not ever go away.
