I looked at my Facebook setting. I regularly check them out to make sure it's as private as possible. I make sure everything is set to private and only friends can see posts I make (and also don't accept any friends that you don't actually know). I also make it so past posts can't be seen.
I also checked my twitter settings and I have it locked so unless we are following each other, no one can see anything I post or share.
