Day 4
Happy Saturday!
It is 6:45 and I'm typing this out before my littles wake up (10 months and 2 1/2). Fingers crossed. I will let you know at the end of this post.
In the context of this course...When we think about personalized learning, we really want support learners in creating or setting their own personalized goals around what we believe is essential for his or her success. For you as a participant in this course, these goals can incorporate some of your the results from the “Begin Your Journey” and “Personalized Learning Interest Inventory” surveys. Many of you have done this. As I review the goals that have been shared, I see that many of you are interested in "learning more about personalized learning" and designing experiences for students that are personalized.
Many of the resources for "learning more about personalized learning" as a whole are found in the "Beginner" options on the learning menu and have been incorporated into some of the daily activities. One resource that I have found to be very clarifying is the Personalization vs. Differentiation vs. Individualization Table found in the "Beginner" section of each of the four PL areas. It helps me to see the relationship between and among these different approaches.
If your goals are more focused in designing or developing a personalized learning experience, many case studies illustrating how it is being done and tools/resources can be found in the "developing" levels.
