Dealer quoted 5k for brakes – worth going to an expert instead?

My 2019 540i is due for front pads and rotors plus a brake fluid flush, and the dealership just hit me with a 5,000 AED estimate which seems absolutely insane for a job that takes maybe two hours. I know these cars have electronic parking brakes that need a scan tool to retract the pistons, so I'm not comfortable taking it to any random garage, but I've been reading about independent places that offer Expert BMW Maintenance Abu Dhabi without the crazy dealer markup. Has anyone here gone the independent route for brake work and been happy with the results? I'm worried about aftermarket parts squeaking or wearing too fast, but paying 5k feels like robbery when the same OEM parts cost around 1500 online. Would love to hear real experiences before I either empty my wallet or make a mistake I regret later.

Before that though, we've got a rare instance of breaking news on HODINKEE Radio. The end Replica Zenith of last week Replica Breitling saw Watches & Wonders Geneva (SIHH's replacement) and Baselworld both get canceled, one day after the other. On Friday morning, as the story was still developing, I pulled Jack and Jon into the studio to talk about what is Replica Panerai happening, what this means for the global watch industry, and, on a more personal note, what we'll miss with the two biggest shows of the year on ice.
