I have only two social media platform accounts: Twitter and Instagram. Both are set to private accounts and you can only follow me with my permission, I have turned off location access to all my media as well as photo tagging and ad blocking for both platforms. I also restrict any Direct Messages to just people to whom I have given permission and I have turned off personalization of ads for both platforms.
I periodically do privacy audits on each platform especially after a platform upgrades it's software to see what privacy and safety settings have changed and what features may have been added or deleted.
I also have added a 3rd party privacy app, Jumbo, to my digital devices that scans for privacy breaches and also blocks trackers. It just alerted me to a phishing scam involving my NetFlix account.
