Students must be aware of the norms and responsibilities that are associated with using digital media. They have grown up in a world where digital connectivity is a right and as natural as breathing. They need to understand the long-lasting effects of there online messages. They will benefit from learning digital "netiquette." They will be evaluated by others who read posts, emails, social media comments and tweets. These will help or harm them when interviewing for a school or university. Their comments will either restore or tear apart relationships. Students need to know how to respond to political comments, and how they feel about topics that they are passionate about. They need to learn how to search for facts, data, and examples for school research carefully to avoid pop-ups, and ascertain the validity of the information.
