In my classroom (kindergarten) we talk a lot about "treating others the way you would like to be treated". This goes for the digital world as well. We, as teachers, need to make it known to our students that they are free to put out in the digital world what they choose, but they will not be able to take it back once it is out there. Students need to be held accountable for their own actions. If they are old enough to use the digital world, they need to accept the consequences if they chose to not use it in the the correct way.
