For me, the golden rule covers so much of this topic. Teach students that they should really stop and think about what they are doing and, if the roles were reversed, would they be okay with it.
I also think we need to teach kids how easy it is to stumble upon really harmful information and imagery. Teaching them the ease at which they could see damaging things online would really help them be more careful.
