I became aware of elementary students sending inappropriate notes to each other through a shared document. They were using learning time to make comments about other students and plan upcoming after school activities. They had no knowledge the district devices are monitored. When questioned about what they had done, the students seemed totally unaware that there were consequences to their actions. It is one thing to teach digital etiquette at school, but parents should also play a part in teaching.
