As a sports fan, I get sick of seeing and hearing "professional" athletes apologizing for some rant they posted on social media. It is so easy to post anything while sitting behind your phone or computer without thinking about the consequences. So many people think that if they post something inappropriate or unprofessional, they can just go back and delete it and things are fine. It's so hard for kids today to realize that once something is posted online, it never goes away. With a simple screen shot, your post is saved forever. Teaching digital citizenship can help save a lot of unnecessary confrontations, friendships, and even jobs.
