Digital Rights and Responsibility

Kim Sears
I believe that all internet users have the right to digital access, however, with that right comes the responsibility to treat others with respect.  Educators would do well to teach students about the digital footprint that is left behind when they use social media.  Anything that is said can be traced back to the user.  Your freedom of speech is okay as long as it doesn't infringe upon someone else's right or safety.

I agree freedom of speech is a given right established within the Constitution that all Americans have liberty of freedom of speech, and too there comes with that freedom responsibilities.  Internet users have that responsibility to respect others when digitally communicating in social media sites, and they have that responsibility to protect themselves when sharing information over the internet.  It is there wholly responsibility as adults and teachers to teach children and students about using etiquette when communicating on the web and about digital foot-printing how personal information should be keep private and in safe places to keep others from using them, and letting their personal information being publicized.
