Digital rights and responsibilites

User rights:  I think freedom of speech and privacy should be part of the norm but with that comes awareness of what that really is.   We do have freedom of speech but that does not mean we can slander someone and I do not think this is actively addressed in the digital world especially with students.   Freedom of privacy is also a right but where is the line drawn in the digital world when it is not only our names, social security numbers or physical addresses we are protecting but also our IP addresses, etc.   I think even defining privacy is an area we have not fully explored.

User responsibility:  To me digital responsibility is no different that any citizen responsibility--and I guess it goes back to the golden rule for me and holding ourselves accountable to all our actions. Unfortunately in the digit world, I think there is less of a  connection to others and thus people will tend to post or do things they would not necessarily in public presence.
