I am relatively new To Facebook and still in the process of feeling secure in exposing myself to the invasions by others regarding conversations that I really don't want others to access. I am again reminded that communication has many levels of privacy for many reasons from which the communicator may choose. It is imperative that I make value judgements about WHAT, WHEN, AND WHERE I want to share not to mention what risks I want to take in my communication with others. The topics thus far in this course serve to remind me again that it is AWAYS MY responsibility to be informed and intelligent in my communication with others. As a teacher and grandparent, it then falls on my shoulders to share this knowledge and these insights with children and young people.
I have reviewed online technology tools which I use and will always be diligent about protecting myself.
