As hard as it is to keep up with all of the changes and new things being added to the digital world and social media, that we have to make sure we are being proactive with our students. The norms of our digital world need to be introduced at a young age so that, when children inevitably get thrown into it all, they will better understand why personal information should never be shared online or with others. That how they speak to people in the real world, should be similar to how they interact online, and that the keyboard does not give them the freedom of consequences.
