Exploring the Benefits of Art in Elementary Education
I enjoyed this article so much because it just sent me back 10 years in one of my class. I had a student who never enjoyed his other classes except my Art and Culture class. This child was abused and  was from an homeless family. He could not concentrate in other class, he was loud...Teachers used to send him to me and I would give him drawing papers and coloring papers, dough. He would quiet and happy. I would send him to the office for a principal reward every Friday. He was very happy for when his work was displayed on the wall. But Ashley Flory was not comfortable for her work to be displayed. This is just showing me that every child start his learning with Art. Before writing student draw the letter. I have so much to say about this.

How Integrating Arts Into Other Subjects Makes Learning Come Alive
What I am taking with me is that student can individualize the work. The good exemple is the use of triangles to make art work but student has to know what types of shapes or triangles used. All this is because:"Teachers are seeing ways to make connections between subjects and watch as students find creative confidence and voice in their expression".

How Arts Integration Supports Student Learning: Students Shed Light on the Connections.I am still processing this article. I looked at the data, it doesn't relate to me as a French Teacher.
All the reading is telling me to integrate  Art it is very important. Grownup students don't like art, even just to use color to give life to the notes like in French.
I learnt a lot.
