In looking at Facebook, there are privacy settings. In my own conversations with teens and parents, many teens have facebook at a very young age, and while many have adult parents who also have the site, they are not able to see each other's posts because they are not "friends." This is extremely alarming! Parents should not only be "friends" with their child, but have access to the account itself. Our youth today do not have the self-monitoring skills, or the judgement that we often believe they do.
