I am a substitute teacher in grades from pre-k to high school. Finances come up in so many areas in our student’s lives, such as: being able to afford basic necessities such as clothing and food.
Yesterday, someone came around selling candy bars to the students in a fourth grade class. Only a couple had the required dollar and the other students put up a fuss. It would be nice to have been able to counsel them on saving allowance or doing chores to have a little nest egg.
The lessons they learn in school will carry them through the rest of their lives.
