Financial Literacy/HS

Dave White
In my Introduction to Business class I can teach many of the topics of Personal Finance in the units I teach.  The biggest unit is the Money Managements unit where I can expand the lessons to incorporate more of these topics.  I can also teach these units during our consumerism unit and the career unit.

Brett Gilliam reminds us link that link luxury and utility are not mutually exclusive. Here's a guy who took a watch many us wouldn't so much as hold under a running kitchen faucet and logged over 17,000 dives with it strapped to his wrist. For Gilliam, the watch was not an item meant to be stored away in a safe or delicately coddled. It was a tool of the trade. There's something link inspiring, albeit recklessly so, about using an 18k gold dive watch in an actual dive setting.

One of my absolute link favorite things about living in New York is being able to attend live comedy shows pretty much link whenever I want. Living not far from the storied Dangerfield's Comedy Club, I've taken full advantage. The past couple of months have obviously put the kibosh on that, but it hasn't stopped me from enjoying any number of streaming comedy specials on networks from Netflix to link HBO to Amazon.

After a very large coffee and a link lot of deep pensive link thought, I called Hodinkee alum Cara Barrett and asked for her take: "I love the risks Patek is taking with such a traditional model. But I would love to see something more link understated for this particular watch. Perhaps a platinum or white gold Aquanaut MR in taupe 35mm?" How chic.
