Financial Literacy - Keith Anderson

I am a high school business and technology teacher that teaches Personal Finance to juniors and seniors. I tell them all on the very first day of class that I think this class is the most important class that they will take in high school. It doesn't matter whether they are going to be an engineer, a doctor, a teacher or a stay at home parent, they will all earn and spend money. It is my job to teach them to do it wisely and to think about their future. I know many of them have jobs and are currently earning and spending money, but many of my students simply receive money from their parents anytime they need or want it. I make it my goal to teach them responsible habits and to get them thinking about their future.
