Financial Literacy for EL students

I teach bilingual students and students who are learning English (ELs- English Learners) in 5th and 6th grade. Some of my students are particularly in need of financial literacy because they may not be familiar with concepts such as saving to buy a house or a car. Although, many immigrant families are excellent examples of saving up to by these things. Others fall victim to scams and easy offers of credit. Also some of my students are the interpreters for the family and the ones who help the adults navigate an american world. This is especially true for our newcomers.
