I teach 5th grade language arts, science, and social studies. I have a lot of opportunities to help my students become financially literate. In 5th grade students are beginning to understand the importance of money. We talk about money in social studies many times throughout the year. I would like to create an interesting project for them incorporating social studies, language arts, and financial literacy. I wish someone had taught me these things when I was young.
