Financial Literacy in Content Area

When I was teaching I taught middle school math.  One of my favorite activities was to have my students work with a Budget and understand the differences between fixed and variable expenses.  It helps the students to see how quickly money is spent and already allocated for use each month.  It also helps them realize how long it can take to save for something they really want when they have only so much income each month.
