I am a high school English teacher. When I think of financial literacy, I think of Walter Lee from "A Raisin in the Sun." This character's ineptitude regarding financial literacy fuels the plot and theme(s) of the play. He's not the antagonist, but his ineptitude often make him the antagonist in the eyes of my students. He could have greatly benefited from some lessons in financial literacy. Of course, if he did, the play would have been different and less tragic, but perhaps I could tie financial literacy into "A Raisin in the Sun" somehow. How? I'm not sure yet. Perhaps I'll have a better idea as I progress though the modules.
