Financial Literacy can be used across all courses that are taught. For example in social studies students could locate different financial institutions on a map and investigate using a computer what services they provide, where they are located, how many institutions are in their town, state, country, etc. They could make a poster, give a report in class, they could make a map of different locations. In Language Arts student could write to a financial institution about their services or give a written or oral report on what they found out about a institution. Including things such as services they provide, hours and days open, find out if their are minimum requirements for that institution. In Math, it would be endless, counting money, teaching about how to write a check, interest, costs related to loans, adding and subtracting, percentages, car loans. So with Financial Literacy there are endless units that could be taught across curriculum.
