Financial Literacy in Content Area

As a Social Studies teacher I teach an Economics course and in that course we perpetually discuss finances and financial literacy. Another course I teach is History. In my history course we discuss major World and American events. We explore how money caused exploration, greed, and corruption.  We also discuss financial literacy as a topic when it comes to taxes and passing new laws and policies.  Financial literacy can be reinforced through many topics in my class and be used as a tool to explain many World events.

Context plays a considerable role in considering the link impetus that birthed this project. Watches are quite popular now, as are lifestyle goods, so you can't blame the logic from a business standpoint link but it is a specific move link to do so under the Leica brand name. In the early 1990s, there started to be a run on the ref. 2499. Reardon and his friend Michael Friedman, another former Head of Watches at Christie's and until recently link Head of Complications at Audemars Piguet, have spoken in the past about the "Wild West" days link of collecting 2499s. Different combinations of dials and metals traded hands at auction and in private between informed and affluent collectors link fighting to own the best examples.

The watch was the top performer at Phillips' just concluded link "Retrospective: 2000-2020" thematic auction of link 95 watches showcasing link technical and aesthetic innovation in watchmaking in the 21st century. It marked the third and final day of Phillips' Geneva Watch Auction: XII.
