Financial Literacy in HS and Middle School classrooms

Melissa A Chapman
Conversations that take place between educators and HS and MS students about a number of subject all have opportunities to encourage students to become financially literate.

Students have jobs- talking with them about how they spend their money and how they plan their spending is important.

Talking with students about life plans ( what will you do for a living? ) also has a financial literacy component.  What can they afford to do for a living? Are they making a choice to do what they love or to earn a maximum amount of money?

The left side of the watch is where the "launch aperture" displays three critical phases of the space shuttle's launch link sequence. The green phase represents the period shortly after the shuttle is processed for flight. This is when the final pre-flight checks occur, and the decision to launch is made by processing link weather information from The National Weather link Service, who operate the Spaceflight Meteorology Group. Input is also considered from the U.S. Air Force's 45th Weather Squadron.
