While most people are teaching finances in a public-school setting, faith-based education also should be responsible for teaching their youth about handling money. It is wise for teachers in private school to incorporate Iowa Core into their curriculum; but they also have the freedom to use the Bible as a resource for how to handle money. I have had the privilege to write financial curriculum for several groups of youth, from as young as kindergarten through high school. With my new knowledge of what the Iowa Core expects for each grade level, I would incorporate those standards by tweaking the activities to reflect them and also communicate to parents which standards our lesson addressed. For instance, if the group I was teaching consisted of high school students, I would incorporate Everfi as part of their homework from week to week.
