Financial Literacy in the Content Area

Cindy A Mueller
I work at the post-secondary level as an administrator in the School of Education, and although I am not currently teaching I meet with students on a regular basis and have office staff who are students.  When students discuss their finances with me it is apparent that many of them have no financial plan.  They live from hand to mouth and our borrowing as much as they can to finish their degree.  Much of it is because many of them have grown up in poverty with no real role models in how to manage money.  Financial literacy is definitely something that should continue to be taught at the post-secondary level. It can be easily embedded in our education classes as a skill our pre-service teachers need to be able to teach.

At first, I only had a chance to see the gold version link and promptly skipped the 24-hour skeleton dials and leather straps, link skimmed the dial and case, and link dove into studying the bracelet. It's not an integrated bracelet and can be removed, but visually it's beautiful even if there is a seam between case and bracelet.
