Financial Literacy

I work with (and teach in small groups or one-on-one) high school students who have an IEP (I am a Work Experience Coordinator). Financial literacy and practice is vital to student's post high-school success, and is an important part of secondary transition. We explore all aspects of employability skills, and frequently discuss handling money/paycheck fundamentals in order to build students' knowledge base and future decision-making as they enter the working world. I also want to build my knowledge base of financial literacy so that I can be a more effective instructor and resource to the students I work with.
