As a paraeducator, I will not have opportunities to teach classroom lessons. Individually, however, there are always opportunities to give a little lesson in finance to the students. Students in first grade earn fuzzies from their teacher for good behavior. These can be saved and then turned in to purchase different rewards. The students will often times ask me questions about saving and spending their fuzzies. This is an example of a teachable moment. This class will help me to be more aware of these moments and how to make the most of them with my students.
