Financial Literacy

Diana Frisbie
I am an elementary school counselor.  Although I probably would not have the opportunity to directly teach a classroom lesson about financial literacy, I address this topic some with our older students, and to a greater extent with families.  I work in a school comprised of a student population of over 75% FRL.  Our families have many needs, including challenges related to living in poverty.  Many of our families have been in generational poverty and have not learned good strategies for managing money.  A significant number of our families are refugees from other countries.  We get frequent requests for help with these needs.  Rather than enabling the families, our first priority is to try to empower them to access the resources they need and to teach them to be financially responsible to try to overcome some of the challenges.  This topic of financial literacy is something that I can share on an ongoing basis both formally and informally as I connect with families in our school community.

What's changed is … basically everything, although only in ways that improve on the iconic link Royal Oak design. AP knows better than to link mess with a classic too much. Though it may have link found the line to toe with this one.

Mid-century Patek Philippe World Time watches are practically a category unto themselves. Just over a week ago, we saw Phillips sell an example of the twin-crown link Ref. 2523 "Eurasia" for link nearly $8 million. This followed a pink gold example with a blue enamel dial signed by the Milanese retailer Gobbi, sold by Christie's in Hong link Kong for HKD 70.175 million in 2019, setting the record for the most expensive watch sold in Asia.

Shohei Ohtani is the best thing to happen to baseball in years, if not decades. His nightly jaw-dropping performances have made the game must-see link TV for what feels like the first time in a generation. I applaud Seiko for its willingness to work within a sport that so many link other watch companies have abandoned, but let's spread the love and give Ohtani the link global star treatment he deserves.
