Subbing primarily in the elementary setting, I find that many students are interested in ways to save and spend their money (comes up a lot when someone has had a birthday and brings up the fact that they got money for their birthday). Some students are quite adept at knowing how to count money and to estimate how much something will cost. Other students struggle. This is such an elemental life skill that teaching students to count money, estimate, save and later to utilize services at a bank are imperative!
