Financial literacy in life

When I taught school many many years ago, I noticed that many students were not aware of the normal business practices in order to get a job. So I was able to develop a lesson plan to teach students these basics. It then branched to cover the many aspects of daily life.
After completing the Financial Literacy program, I am amazed and convinced that practical knowledge is vital in today's world. The program has been developed to educate the students of Iowa and I believe it will be successful.
It needs to be successful. We need to expand this realm and cover as many elements of life as possible. Our world is ever changing and we need to provide our children with more tools than they need to be successful in life. Perhaps there needs to be more emphasis on common elements than lofty spaces.
