Fourez, Kim - Norms and responsibilities

Today, I believe every user should be able to keep their privacy and at the same be able to express themselves. The thing that is getting harder is the ability to know you have accurate information. This is where it becomes difficult for young digital learners. Digital Citizenship norms must be present of mind to these users.

That being said, digital responsibilities are just as important. Users must digitally responsible through their etiquette and maintaining the rule I have for my students which is if you can't say it to them in person, don't hide behind the screen. No one likes a bully! Young users need to remember to police their own travels on the digital highway. Report everything!

I agree that encouraging empathy and kindness online is how you become a great digital citizen. This technology can be a powerful tool, and we all responsible in shaping it into a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
