Gmail. Calendar. Projects

As a private drivers education instructor, I am not in the school building and getting in contact with students and them with me can create some issues.  I have been using  texts and phone messages, but this has been time consuming and interrupting my other job.  By using Gmail, I can create groups and labels for my students that are currently in my session and communicating with them could solve some miscommunication issues.
By using the google calendar, my class date and times would clearly be labeled and our chapters being covered would be listed for students to be better prepare for my class.

I have used gmail only in the past for projects to be submitted, but most of them still use the screen save and text option.  

All in all, which ever methods are being used, a quick tutorial for the students would definitely be in order at the beginning of each session I start.
