Gmail for working on commitees

I have used gmail to communicate information to different committees that I work on as a Special Education Consultant.  Investigating the use of labels for organization is very appealing.  I am also interested in using the task feature and wonder if the task feature can be used in committee work for timelines.  The amount of email I receive is overwhelming.  I have now has set the feature to have unread emails appear first, this has been helpful.  In exploring how the task feature works, I will use this with colleagues and they ca learn about the
