You can use Gmail to let the students parents know of the assignments the student has. Or when the assignments are due. When events are coming up or days we don't have school.
Students would be able to send you reports/papers through gmail and then the students don't have to worry about trying to find a printer.
It would be a great way to send sub plans or for a sub to report back to how the day went.
