Gmail in my classroom

Our district has recently switched to Gmail.  I have used Gmail personally for years but I had no idea there were so many features.  I look forward to being able to utilize many of these new features.

I appreciate the ability to have an email translated into another language if needed.  I don't know if I would ever use that feature but I do have many students that speak different languages in their homes.

I am also excited to begin to use my Gmail as more of a place to organize and keep my calendar.  It seems I use a lot of pen and paper for this currently and it would be so hand to have access to all of that information on my email that I can access from my computer or phone.  

I am interested in the ability to archive messages...I love the idea of keeping my inbox clean!  With Gmail it might be possible that I will become an organized person after all!
