Gmail in the Classroom

Matt
The ability to create groups of parent emails makes it efficient to mass communicate about upcoming curriculum, test results, and other school/class-related announcements. In the past, I've created Google Documents with tables of parent email addresses that I've copy-pasted from PowerSchool.

Going forward, I'm excited about the prospect of recommitting the time I previously spent creating those tables to time creating Contacts and Groups in Gmail to serve the same purpose, much more efficiently.

As a side note, for those whose districts have not yet activated the translation lab, Google Translate (the site or the app) has a ton of really useful features for teachers who need to interact with students or parents with limited English.
