Gmail in the Classroom

I've never known school without gmail in the classroom. I used it in high school for several classes to communicate with my teachers and then to use google drive with my classmates on collaborative projects. I think Gmail can be used positively for several purposes in the classroom, such as reminders of deadlines, sharing online tools to further student learning, and informing students and parents about things going on in the community to provide students with experiential learning. Gmail allows parents, students, teachers, and administration to stay in contact and informed.
