Gmail in the Classroom

I believe it was about three or four years ago that our district switched to gmail and I love it.  It wasn't until about two years ago all of our students gained email access.  Although the student can't email outside of the distirct they can email me, when they are on their Chromebook.  Often times I have them do their writing assignments on google docs and send them to me, we also do the same thing with spelling work.  I look forward to learning all of the news ways to use it with my students.  Additionally I use it daily to communicate with parents and staff.  I love that I can now make a parent contact group instead of cutting and pasting the list everytime!
