Gmail in the Classroom

Anne Camarena
Google gmail is the primary source of communicating with my students' parents. It has been very beneficial for me to have created folders to keep the daily emails organized. I have labels created for personal use, parent communication, school business, scheduling, etc. Using these labels allows me to have easy access to emails on different topics. For instance, when a parent emails to make changes to their child's after school schedule, I can file it under parent communication and know that I will have easy access to it if needed.

I am interested to learn more about Google chat. I think it could be a great tool to use for FAQ for incoming kindergarten families to get to know more about the daily schedules, activities, etc in their child's new school and in our classroom.
