Gmail in the Classroom

Todd
Hi, I am excited to learn new things about Gmail that I can share with my college business students. Labels seem very powerful and can be used to de-clutter the inbox. I also liked the idea of coloring them so that they stand out in your inbox. I would encourage them to not only use them for types of email but also from key people in their organizations, such as their managers. Also, the power of using filters to put numerous emails into labels, but don't forget to check that last box for the previous ones received. Signatures are also important and put that professional edge to any email. The auto-reply is very helpful if you'll be out of your office, such as now during the summer online course session. Although I don't have access to the Labs, I'll check with our administrator to see if they can be invoked. Based on that video, there are about five key things that can be put into one place. And finally, I've seen some breakout sessions on Google Hangout and am looking forward to knowing more about it and feeling more confident. Thanks, Todd Stabenow
